Puppy Dinner
Today Steve and I were looking out his office window and guess what strolled by...a wolf! It was right across the street in the empty lot and then in crossed the street right next to our house. The only thing I could think of was puppy food! What if I was out there with the dogs and they started barking and chased him (which they would have). He could have gobbled them up in one bite! Now I'm scared to take them outside because I think they are gonna get eaten for dinner! I am always amazed at the wildlife that we see from our house here. We are not even that close to the mountains, but there are always wild animals strolling our neighborhood! Scary!
4th of July
We had a pretty good 4th this year. Steve started the day off at 7am for a dirt bike ride with Dave Andrus. I think it's so great that he has a good friend that will go riding with him! When he got home, around 11ish, I was rolling out of bed ready to hit the lake! We went out with my dad, grandpa, cousins Kevin and Nick, and his girlfriend, Rachel.
It was kinda a monumental day for my dad. After losing about 85 pounds he was finally able to get up on a wake surf. He was so excited! He has tried for the past 2 years and could never get up.
Rachel had never been before so it was cool to see her get up. She did really good too! We even got Kevin up on the wake surf (with a little help from Steve).
After the lake we went over to my parents house for a BBQ and just hung out for a while. Then Steve and I went and found a nice place to watch the Thanksgiving Point fireworks.
It was fun just hanging out waiting. We brought the dogs and that was a mistake because they barked at every single person walking by. Roxy almost got in a fight with a dog that was 10x her size! We played a little Uno and lit up some sparklers.
The fireworks were cool, but the steeple on the church blocked a lot of them. We'll have to find a better place next year!

Thank you for the fantastic 50th Birthday!
I wanted to thank everyone for such a wonderful birthday! It started out with beautiful flowers from Sean, delivered bright and early! I will post a picture if I can figure it out.
Thank you Sean!
Dad and I walked the dogs around the figure 8 of our neighborhood! This is our second week of walking every morning, except Sunday. My calves aren't sore anymore. It was so beautiful out and much cooler than yesterday! I love walking with Dad!
Jeff, I love you with all my heart! Thanks for making this day perfect for me.
Aunt Stephanie called at 10:30, for our telephonic scripture study! But first, her annual "Happy Birthday" song. We all look forward to that call on our birthday.
Thanks Steph for a wonderful Birthday tradition!
We read Mosiah 22. Our daily scripture study, with Dad and Steph is the best part of my day, everyday! I love hearing Aunt Stephanie's voice when she read's Scousen's book and especially hearing Dad's voice as he reads the scriptures out loud. The only thing that would make it better, would be if all my family were here with me.
Then lunch at Olive Garden with Jen and Steve. It was delicious and we had such a great time. The funny part was the empty box with a candle in it! The perfect dessert, very low in calories!!!
Thanks Jen and Steve!
While at lunch I opened the birthday card with the blog site information! I am so excited. I have wanted this for such a long time so we all can stay connected. Families are so important and with Sean in California and the rest of us in Utah, maybe this will help to keep all of us in touch.
When we got home, there was a box on the door step. My mom sent me flowers! I can't wait to see them bloom. I was so surprised!
Thanks Mom, I love them!
Shortly after coming home there was a knock on the door and Sharon Dustin popped over to wish me a happy birthday! I haven't been called "KC" for so long. It was great to see her smiling face!
Grandma and Grandpa Crosier called me and wished me a happy birthday. It was terrific to talk to them and get caught up.
Thank you for the birthday wishes and the gift certificate!!!
Next there was another knock on the door, it was Rebecca Johnson. She wished me Happy Birthday and gave me wonderful book! Can't wait to read it.
Kevin wished me "Happy Birthday" when he got home, but he was really more concerned that I knew his birthday was going to be on November 11th!
Thanks Kevin!!!
I am thrilled about doing the family portrait this fall! The canyon is picture perfect for this in the fall.
Thank you Dad, Sean, Steve, Jen, Kevin and Nick!!!!
This is the best birthday ever! Thanks again.
Love,
MOM

Your Present
We've been thinking a lot about what to get you for your birthday and a family portrait seemed to be the best idea that came up. You and Dad look so great now I thought the best gift would be a nice family portrait with the whole family in the fall leaves. Hope you love it!
Love,
Your Family
Dad, Sean, Jen, Steve, Nick, & Kevin
Happy Birthday Mom
